Netflix Doc “Heroin(e)” Takes A Hard Look At America’s Opioid Crisis

Netflix released a trailer last week for Heroin(e), a documentary that follows 3 residents of Huntington, West Virginia, where the opioid overdose rate is 10 times higher than that of the national average. Premiering on Sept. 12th and directed by Peabody award winner Elaine McMillion Sheldon, this documentary gives an inside look in to a crisis that is clearly tearing the community apart, and the people that are trying to change the narrative.
